These servers come loaded with a base install of Debian, Fedora or other Open Source product. From there you can load your other programs. Ideal for webservers, email servers, data servers, game servers or test servers.
We offer use of a dedicated server, at a greatly reduced cost, to those who are accepted into this new program, For those using Open Source, or developing an Open Source application, then this deal is for you!

WHAT MAKES THIS SUCH A GREAT DEAL? Because there's no upkeep or worrying about power failure; all maintenance is handled by ACT USA.

hardware belongs to ACT USA; there is never a charge to repair your
server, should it have problems. The data center is monitored 24 hrs a
day, every day. The only costs to you are your monthly fees, and any
applicable setup charges when you order your server.

Why is this deal only for those using Open Source?
ACT USA is developing a new test section of our data center, exclusively for Open Source usage. Testing a variety of products & hardware combinations to determine which are the most stable, secure. We are opening up this new test environment to others using Open Source as a way to support the Open Source community and also to help with this study.
How are participants chosen for this special deal?
Every application is reviewed and judged on an individual basis. ACT USA is not looking for specific types of businesses, or persons. We want to insure that the server will be utilized in support of Open Source, whether its for a webserver, email server, data storage, test server or other application.
How soon will decisions be made, whether or not an applicant is chosen?
ACT USA will review each application within 24 hours, and will contact each applicant concerning their acceptance or denial. Once accepted, the server can typically be made available within 3 business days, after payment is received.
What if a participant wants to run Commercial software on the server?
Commercial software (other than Open Source) is not allowed on the servers in this program. However, ACT USA does have other co-location, server lease programs for those applications. Contact ACT USA for more information. |
