ACT USA Adds IPv6 Networking to S.C.A.L.E.

February 12, 2010 - Los Angeles, CA - ACT USA, as part of it's Open Source support program, will be providing the underlying network design, management, and security hardware for The Southern California Linux Expo, just as it has for the past 7 shows. This year, ACT USA will be adding a new twist to the S.C.A.L.E. network. All systems connecting to the network will be given both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses. That's right, the entire show will be running Dual Stack.

ACT USA Launches First IPv6 Tests

January 13, 2010 Thousand Oaks, CA - ACT USA has begun testing IPv6 in all it's co-location facilities. They hope to have a dual stack backbone in place and fully functional by the end of second quarter, 2010.

ACT USA Receives IPv6 Allocation

December 17, 2009 Thousand Oaks, CA - ACT USA has requested and received a direct allocation of IPv6 address space from ARIN.

ACT USA will be testing IPv6 in their lab, and plans to offer IPv6 addresses to it's customers during the second half of 2010.

DRBD Accepted Into Main Line Linux Kernel

December 9, 2009, On The Net - Distributed Redundant Block Device modules have been excepted into the Main Line Linux Kernel.

The kernel module is slated to be in the 2.6.33 release. The addition of DRBD will allow for greater open source penetration into the High Availability Services space.

ACT USA Deploys Drupal for New Web Site

December 6, 2009, Thousand Oaks, CA - ACT USA has relaunched it's main web presence.

ACT USA has launched a brand new web site with updated data and information on their current products and services. ACT USA has chosen Drupal for their new web platform. Drupal will allow ACT USA to add and modify data in real time, and publish timely information about new technologies.
